Here at MOB we embrace an ancient, organic, simplistic philosophy when it comes to training, riding and racing bicycles, “cycling is fun”.
Very few of us are fortunate enough to receive a paycheck to ride our bicycles, so we like to remind our friends and customers to remember why they ride. Forget about the numbers every once in a while and reflect on why you started cycling in the first place. Remember the kid that first started riding and his first race, how excited he was? Forget about your power meter and heart rate, forget the intervals, leave your computer at home and ride for him.
That said we are well versed in the modern techniques of fitness training for bicycle riding and racing. All of the staff at MOB have been riding and racing bicycles for over 100 years collectively in all disciplines. Several of the guys race at the Elite level on the road and are members of the Mock Orange Racing Cycling Team. Any given weekend you may see Jay, Brad, Zach, or Charles racing along side some of the nations top Professional cyclists. Our store Manager Zach also owns and operates Precision Cycle Coach, a comprehensive training and consultation service for cyclists.
What this all means to you, the everyday cycling enthusiast, is that you can walk into the shop on any day and have our knowledge and advice at your finger tips. From nutrition to fitting advice, equipment to race tactics, just ask! We love helping our friends and customers enjoy, enhance and embrace the amazing sport of cycling!
